Burke Welcomes Six Attorneys to Its Public Law Practice!

These six lawyers have almost a century of combined experience in all areas of law affecting municipalities, special districts, and other public agencies in California, including Open Government Laws (such as the Brown Act and the Public Records Act), Conflicts of Interest and Ethics (e.g., Political Reform Act, Gov. Code § 1090, and AB 1234), Records Retention and Destruction, Public Contracts, Public Works, Utilities & Infrastructure, Land Use and Planning, Economic Development, Public Finance (including formation of business improvement districts and Propositions 218 & 26), Code Enforcement & Receiverships, and Public Safety. In addition, these attorneys bring expertise in Constitutional law (including First Amendment law), Election law, Housing, Waste Management, Insurance and Indemnification, Telecommunications and Public Educational and Governmental (PEG) channels, Redevelopment/Successor Agency Dissolution, and Cannabis Regulation and Taxation.
