Public Law Partner Brian Hamblet to Serve as Tort Claims Act Panelist at CSDA Annual Conference

Burke Public Law partner Brian I. Hamblet will co-present ‘California Government Tort Claim Requirements and What Your Public Agency Needs to Know’ at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference & Exhibitor Showcase on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:45 am to 12:00 am. This breakout session presentation will focus on what constitutes a government tort claim, who it needs to be submitted to, and how the public agency should process it. This session will also present best practices for receiving a tort claim and the difference between returns without action and rejections. Debbie Yokota, Special District Risk Management Authority, will join Brian in this insightful discussion.   The CDSA Conference & Exhibitor Showcase will run from September 9 through September 12, 2024 at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, Indian Wells, California.
